Part 4: Who Does the Policy Apply To, and When?

The Affiliation Policy applies to all members of the OVGU—including doctoral candidates, students, and visiting scholars. The key point is this: if a significant portion of your research was conducted at the OVGU, you must list the university as your affiliation. This applies even if you have already left OVGU but your publication is still based on this work. The type of publication also does not matter: whether it is a blog post, journal article, or poster—wherever you disseminate your research, the affiliation should be correctly stated. Only then can OVGU cover any publication costs that may arise for you.
