Christmas is coming – your gift is waiting for you

The foyer of our university library is already decked out for the festive season: since 1st of December 2025, a special gift table has been inviting visitors to take part in a “blind date with a book”. For weeks, members of the OVGU community have been donating their favourite books. Now they are waiting – lovingly wrapped – to surprise new readers. Anyone who takes one of the mysterious packages will only know what book is inside after unwrapping it. This not only creates joy in reading, but also encourages people to discover new things. At the same time, we are setting an example for sustainability by passing on stories instead of throwing them away. The table is restocked daily – until 23rd December 2025. So it's worth stopping by!
