Finding Your Place Amidst Water, Words, and Connections

The University Library is more than just a popular hub for exchange. As a social and cultural gathering space at OVGU, it provided the perfect setting for the participants of “Schwimm Kultur” on May 22nd to take part in a moving workshop on overcoming fear and mutual support. The project supports international students far beyond learning to swim as they settle into a new reality. Through conversations and creative workshop stations, exercises emerged from openness and trust. For initiatives like this, the University Library provides the ideal setting as an open meeting place that highlights diversity and fosters communities that strengthen integration, shared learning, and well-being.
